We are Visual Soundscape Creators
Yorik Production is an independent audiovisual company founded by Yannick Mourcia in 2011, a Dutch-Spanish photographer and filmmaker born in France.
Passionate about the seventh art since childhood, his calling took flight notably through the films of David Cronenberg, which instilled in him a taste for cinematic storytelling, and through the technical mastery demonstrated by Stanley Kubrick.
Moreover, filmmakers such as Alejandro Jodorowsky, Tod Solondz, and Lars von Trier have provided him with a profound understanding of how to evoke emotions through audience manipulation. Through collaborations in various fields, Yannick Mourcia has honed skills such as management and directing making-of documentaries.
In 2009, he established his first production venture with a colleague, where he portrayed the Joker in their rendition of Batman. He then directed “Reversible,” his debut independent short film, which served as a stepping stone into the world of cinema.
He later shifted his focus towards casting direction, working on an ambitious film helmed by Adam Jodorowsky, the son of Alejandro Jodorowsky, one of his favorite directors (“The Holy Mountain” being a perennial favorite). In 2015, he directed his second short film, “Instant Zéro,” which garnered multiple awards, including Best Screenplay at the Hollywood Film Festival. He gained invaluable on-set experience through inclusion in the official Cannes Film Festival short film catalog. Yorik Production comprises approximately 45 artists across all disciplines to execute projects. We have now completed several VFX-laden feature films. Additionally, we participed as jury members and served as jury president for the Giallo International Film Festival in Paris.
